Accent Table

The same customer from the Vanity Project and the Medicine Cabinet also requested an Accent Table for his living room.  He sent me a picture of something similar and then gave me his dimensions.  The unique part of this project was the design of it.  As you can see in the picture, the vertical supports go all of the way to the top of the piece, giving the segmented look from the top. What makes this design difficult to construct is that the horizontal portions then have to be secured to a face side of the vertical supports.  This limits the options for creating more surface area to make a secure joint.  After some careful planning and tricky assembly, the end result created was an extremely sturdy piece that showed no signs of weakness at the joints.  Even from the bottom, you will not find ANY exposed fasteners!  Another fun project that required custom ingenuity in order to deliver what the customer wanted!
